Jerome R. Bailey

CEO THE GIDEON COMPANIES

Jerome Bailey is a name most know well in the DC real estate market. As the founder and managing member of Bailey Real Estate Holdings, LLC (BREH), Jerome has been making his mark on Washington DC for over 17 years. Under his leadership, BREH grew to own and manage more than 800,000 sq ft of multifamily residential real estate throughout the metropolitan area, along with another 14,000 sq ft of office and retail space. In addition, Jerome serves as managing member with Redwood Ventures, a real estate development company focused on the redevelopment of historic row houses into luxury residences; as well as serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board for Capital Bank, where he guides critical institutional investment and lending decisions.

Jerome brings his expertise in property acquisition, finance, and real estate development capably to bear as the CEO and founder of The Gideon Companies. Mr. Bailey believes that this is the culmination of his years of hard work and experience, and that both Gideon Capital and Gideon Development Group will transform the local market with their new and innovative approaches to real estate.

 

Marisa G. Flowers

COO & MARKET ADVISOR, THE GIDEON COMPANIES

Marisa Flowers’ career in real estate development is vast, spanning across private, public and non-profit sectors. Over the years, she’s made a name for herself bringing sharp analysis and deft management to projects in complicated market places. In 2006, she founded Green Door Advisors, a full-service real estate advisory firm focused on complex urban and emerging markets. Here she used her deep knowledge of and experience in DC public/private development to lead a team of consultants in serving large clients with strong strategic support.

Marisa joins The Gideon Companies as the COO and the team’s lead for DC market insights.

 

Steven J. Schwartz

CFO & INVESTMENT PRINCIPAL, GIDEON CAPITAL

Steven J. Schwartz is a licensed attorney and certified public accountant. For over 35 years, Steven has acted as CFO to leading companies in the DC metropolitan area. In 1999, Steven founded Prudent Capital, a finance company focused on providing preferred equity and mezzanine debt to later- stage growth-oriented businesses and under-leveraged real estate projects. Prudent Capital has financed nearly $100M in deals and is currently investing its 11th fund.

Steven joins Gideon Capital as the CFO and investment principal.
